Whilst we might not able to offer the ideal event experience this year, the mental health benefits of running are more important than ever. We've worked up the next best thing and are excited to offer The Virtual Havering Mind Half Marathon Month!
From Thursday 1 - Saturday 31 October inclusive, we're encouraging you to complete a half marathon in aid of Havering Mind and to celebrate better mental health in every runner. We've created a special Havering Half Course around Hornchurch Country Park for you to take on any time, with your running mates or on your own. It's also fine to run the distance anywhere else if you prefer.
Getting involved in the virtual half marathon will help us to continue providing vital services for the community in Havering, at a time when things are tougher for everyone.
You'll be able to complete the distance as many times as you like throughout October and your best result will be the one that stays on the official leaderboard. After Saturday 31 October, we'll finalise the results and get your souvenir medal out to you in the post.
You could raise vital funds for Havering Mind and help them continue to support local people in need by asking your nearest and dearest for sponsorship during October.
